About Upper Rock Nature Reserve

The Upper Rock Nature Reserve covers over 40% of Gibraltar's total land area and is home to over 600 species of plants as well as the famous Barbary macaques. Designated in 1993 and expanded in 2013, the reserve protects precious Mediterranean habitats across limestone karst terrain rising to 426 metres. A single admission ticket grants access to all 17 attractions within the reserve, including St Michael's Cave, the Great Siege Tunnels, WWII Tunnels, the Skywalk, and the Moorish Castle.
